Travel
Before entering the real world,
numerous college graduates travel overseas. Traveling provides
graduates the opportunity to find out who they really are, what they want from
life and the opportunity to meet and see amazing things and people. Budget
discounts and youth traveling information
abound to those going overseas. Youth under the age of 26 are eligible for
cheaper international airfare and other special discounts.
Most recent graduates travel on a tight budget. These youth are called
backpackers because of the huge backpack that they live out of for a period of
time. Throughout the world, backpackers can cheaply stay in youth hostels.
These hostels vary in quality and price, however the
price rarely ever exceeds $20 a day. The means of travel depend on the
infrastructure of the country. The most common method of travel in Europe is the
train. Backpackers obtain a Eurarail pass which enables them to travel to any
European country. In other developing countries, the most common means of
transportation is the bus. All lodging and transportation vehicles provide
excellent opportunites to meet fellow backpackers who may eventually become
travel companions.
Europe is the most common destination for recent
graduates. There are amazing sites, cities and beaches throughout Europe.
Whether you want to travel to large towns or quaint villages, you will experience
that country's culture. Amazing beaches and nightlife abound in Greece and
historic pieces of artwork exist in France. Between these countries is a
little bit of everything.
Latin America is slowly becoming a popular travel destination for
backpackers who really crave adventure. Costa Rica and Belize are the two most
common countries traveled because of their industrialized society that most
ressembles Westernized culture. In Latin America, youth travel the
rainforest.
Asia is
a place where many graduates go seeking spiritual guidance. There are various
religons and philosophies that many graduates strive to acquire. Also, the
Himalya mountains attract youth who are into extreme sports such as mountain
climbing.
Travel in the Middle East isn't common nor recommended because of the dangers and
hatred that Americans face from these countries. Basically, the economical and
political differences between the Middle East and the United States cause travel
to be very dangerous in these regions.
